13.       District Championships

League Champion will be team that wins day one.

Score five of six, if tied sixth place will break the tie.

District Champion will be determined on day two and scored as it is at state for a 40 entry tournament.

Scoring – 40-entry Tournament –

1st place 30 team points;

2nd place 25 team points;

3rd – 20 team points;

4th - 18 team points;

5th - 16 team points;

Then each descending place receives one less point. For instance, 13th place - 8 points, 20th place and ties - one point. Only those qualifying for the second round of play will be eligible for points.

Ties will be resolved by sharing the points in the places affected. For instance, if there is a three-way tie for second, each player would receive 41 points (1/3 of 45 + 40 + 38). Next place would be 5th.

Will be a two day tournament, 18 holes each day

Participants may self cut after the first 9 holes

Entry into day two will be:

Boys: one half the number of participants plus any golfer within 5 strokes of the last player in the top half.

Girls: one half the number of participants plus any golfer within 10 strokes of the last player in the top half.

For the boys - All ties after 6th place will be played off, so as to give a state order for the spring tournament in the 1st year of a new allocation cycle.  The second year, only those places necessary will be played off.

Walking scorers will be used.  Every attempt will be made to have a scorer for each group.

If not enough scorers are available, coaches will be used.

If still not enough for each group the coaches will determine which groups will not have a scorer.

Course will determine whether to use Winter or Summer Rules

Location for the tournament will be determined by the Athletic Directors

Coaching Rule - Each team may appoint one (1) person (coach) who may give advice to members of that team. Such a person shall be identified to the Rules committee before any team member begins play. This person may give advice only to their players after a player has completed a hole and the player has left the putting green and until the player tees off at the next hole. The coach can not cause a player to unduly delay play
